(1) Use SanDisk CF card (or other known-good brand) to ensure it works with IDE emulation
(2) Insert CF card into standard CF card reader (e.g. USB)
(3) Format disk as FAT32
(4) Copy these files onto the flash card from the LiveCD:

• image.gz
• usr_cram.fs
• vmlinuz

(5) create a syslinux.cfg on the disk:

default vmlinuz root=/dev/ram0 initrd=image.gz
append PSLEEP=25 PHOME=hda1 PFILE=pup100-none-262144 PKEYS=uk

(6) Run syslinux.exe from:

http://syslinux.zytor.com/

http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/utils/boot/syslinux/

(7) Install into IDE to CF adapter
(8) Boot PC off floppy boot disk
(9) FDISK /MBR
(10) Remove floppy & reboot off 'HDD' :)
