Job Summary:
The Editorial Intern position will provide a current or graduating student with valuable on-the-job skills, as well as materials they can show as “published.” Inveneo will work with the University or college of the intern to provide the necessary paperwork for college credit.
The Editorial Intern will work on stories about our partners and installations in Africa, Nepal, and Bangladesh. These articles will appear in the Inveneo Newsfeed, Quarterly Newsletter, Case Studies, Success Stories, and press releases.
Essential Functions/Major Duties:
Primary function is to support general marketing activities and the ICIP (Inveneo Certified ICT Partner) program and with high-quality, timely stories about our partners and successes.
Major Duties
- Research and write stories about Inveneo partners and successes, which includes interviewing various players, creating a storyline, securing approval for quotes and copy
- Crafting and publishing stories for the weekly newsfeed
Required Job Skills and Experience:
- Ability to interview partners working in Africa, Nepal, and Bangladesh (using Skype); research and write articles; meet deadlines
- Journalism/Reporting classes required, publication experience desired
- Knowledge of French could be useful
- Basic blogging html knowledge desired
Additional Comments:
- Position is part-time, unpaid, based in Inveneo’s San Francisco office, with some work able to be performed by telecommuting
- Strong self-starter, able to drive projects to completion and meet deadlines. Editorial support and guidance available, introductions will be made to partners
