Job Summary:
The Marketing Communications (Marcom) Intern position will provide a current or graduating student with valuable on-the-job skills, as well as materials they can show as “published.” Inveneo will work with the University or college of the intern to provide the necessary paperwork for college credit.
The Marcom Intern will work on the Inveneo website and literature in order to keep materials up to date. While all interns will be writing articles for the Inveneo website and literature, those with design skills will be able to produce pieces for print, such as posters, data sheets, and brochures.
Essential Functions/Major Duties:
Primary function is to support general marketing activities and the ICIP (Inveneo Certified ICT Partner) program with high-quality, timely marketing materials.
Major Duties
- Crafting and publishing stories for the weekly newsfeed
- Creating and updating data sheets
- Updating stories about our in-country partners in Africa, Nepal, and Bangladesh
- Design and build posters
Required Job Skills and Experience:
- Writing and Design classes required
- Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and InDesign highly desired
- Ability to write clear and concise stories and marketing literature
- Ability to meet deadlines
Additional Comments:
- Position is part-time, unpaid, based in Inveneo’s San Francisco office, with some work able to be performed by telecommuting.
- Strong self-starter, able to drive projects to completion and meet deadlines. Editorial and design support and guidance available.
