Audio and Video Useage

Inveneo Desktop Linux provides multiple ways to play audio recordings such as music and audio books, as well as recorded or streaming videos and movies. One way to play audio and video is by using the pre-installed audio and video programs found in the Start > All Programs > Multimedia folder. Another way to hear audio and watch video is with the Firefox web browser, which can play many of the popular audio and video formats used on various web sites.

IDL plays a variety of file types, including .mp3, mp4, .mov and .avi; however, given the wide-variety of content-types these files can contain, not all will play properly.

Tip
It is not recommended to run Firefox and Totem Movie Player at the same time. Since they both play audio and video files, conflicts can arise that cause one program to disable features in the other. However, using Firefox and Totem Movie Player separately does not cause a conflict.
